Thanks to Teresa Torres for writing such an in-depth book that can help anyone to understand the full concept of Continuous discovery. It explains the importance of the product trio (Manager, Developer, and designer). How each role plays an effective role in the product experience. When you are building a product it is very common to not fully understand each other’s roles and who’s opinion matters the most in what area. The book has explained the responsibilities of the product trio team very clearly.

The book shared some good tips on conducting the interviews, recruiting (as this is the most challenging area we all know) and then managing the backlog of all the user insights that you have gained over the period of time.

I love the fact that how it transformed my thinking from just doing the research to conducting the research to follow a business outcome. It’s a practice that individuals, teams, and the companies need to build and the mastery of it takes a lot of continuous collaboration, same-page thinking, and patience.

I recommend not just reading the book instead read the chapters of the books as you start your process, use this book as your guide for every step. I am sure it will help you a lot in each step. e.g. if you interview read the “Continuous Interviewing” chapter and when it comes to mapping go to the next chapter “ Mapping the opportunity space”. Just make sure you read the first 3 chapters before you start your process.
